DONT STOP ME NOW
Friday, What a day!!
My day at the Coleshill Social Centre, Llanelli.
Wait for the bus (usually 8.20 ish am) waited , waited, at 9.00 rang the centre, they found out the driver (not the usuall one) had got lost!!, 9.20am ,still waiting rang a few friends (who where going as well) one was getting on before me was Still in the House. Rang another (who gets on ,just before the centre, to warn him, it might be late) THE BUS TURNS UP WITH ME!! He has been lost on country lanes after picking up the first client.
Then we get to (West) of Carmarthen, we are “crawling” in a traffic jam, because of roadworks, then some more roadworks, as they are building a new TESCO EXTRA in Carmarthen (opens 1st November 2006). Eventually get to centre at 11.15am (some people are sitting down ready for lunch at 12.00!!!)
No time to start anything on the powerpoint module, the tutor wants me to help someone with a “Thank You “ card, I need to give out the photos , I took last week.
Plus the tutor has asked if the WEA can use my Digital Story (from TV) to show other students. I explained that it was OK but I will get permission from the BBC first. ( I have to do this for a number of organisations) .
I got a lot of congratulations, on my DS, as a lot of clients and staff saw ME on TV.
Another friend of mine, was waiting for me, to give him advice on his purchase of a new computer.
The journey home, was started a few minutes later than usual, when we got to Carmarthen we were in “traffic” jams again, by the time I got home it was 4.05pm (instead of 3.10pm),
Glad to get home for a rest, less rushing about !!!

DONT STOP ME NOW
DID YOU WATCH IT ???
IF NOT…. WHY NOT??
I have had many phone calls of support, and congratulation.
Now I will have to go around and take down, all, the posters, that I have put up (not sure I remember where I put them all) plus its pouring with rain, here in West Wales, so I will have to go around in the car, even though skin is water proof, I am at the beginning of a bout of FLU and I don’t want it to get to bad (my immune system is not that good at the best of times, Due to ATAXIA and my medication) my co-ordination is very much affected, 70% worse than usual.
Thinking about, looking at a short break in Jersey ?? (flights, from Cardiff, seem very cheap at the moment) don’t know what its like in Jersey for a “wheelie”.
While we are looking at holidays, we can sort out a holiday for next January or February, somewhere, warmer than here.
Also, looking at ways, to fundraise, for ATAXIA UK and ATAXIA SOUTH WALES (a new branch, which I am a committee member) (so if you know me, be aware, that I will be getting in contact, with you TO DO SOMETHING “POSITIVE” for this new branch.

Didn’t do anything (on my PowerPoint module) as I was taking photo`s for some of the students to use on their folder`s , to hold their coursework. Plus I was setting up laptops for other students.
Saturday, we went to Cardiff International Airport, to pick up my partners mum, she has been to Belalamedena, to visit a friend.
Sunday, went, with my nephew, to the cinema to see “Garfield 2 “ not my “cup of tea” after all the previews about this film, I thought it was going to be quite funny, in parts, but I didn’t, or Jason (11) find it funny at all.
Monday, was International ATAXIA Awareness Day.

DONT STOP ME NOW
SORRY, SORRY,
I don’t seem to have enough time, to keep this up to date !!!! (I don’t have time, to run everybody`s life as well as mine)
Perhaps, I should investigate a “time warp” machine to lengthen the hours in a day !!!!!
I have been making posters (for Ataxia Awareness Day, 25th September 2006 and the screening of my “Digital Story” on BBC 2W @ 9:55 on 25th September 2006 .
I have been emailing the newspapers, radio, television, with this information.
I have managed to get these mentioned, in the Carmarthen Journal ( via the community pages).
I have been around the nearest road junctions to display the posters (AT SAFE TRAFFIC VIEW PIONTS) and had them displayed in local shops.
Went for a spin, in the car, to take my partners mum and her friend to Cardiff airport (we have to go and pick them up, later today.
Last Tuesday, we went to Swansea, to meet some friends to arrange to start a South Wales branch of ATAXIA. It seems we have plenty of drive and enthusiasm to make this a very successful venture.
In the post, came an appointment, for a M.R.I. scan (of the head/BRAIN), to check the deterioration (or “rotting” in my view) of the Cerebellum.

I am called a “CLASS ROOM” assistant, by the other students!!!!.
Now I have to printout the photo`s to take in next week.
When I came back, I took “STORMY” over to Pembertons Chocolate Farm, for a cup of tea and biscuit
Depending on the weather, in between all this I go out in “STORMY” as much as I can, if its warm/dry in the afternoon`s I can go out on my “mission” tricycle to “keep” active (and healthy)

I had a phone call from the BBC Capture Wales, team on Friday.
Now I am trying to tell as many people as I can about this event!!!.
ATAXIA UK (hopefully) will get a copyright agreement (with BBC) to use my Story at their annual conference (November 11th).
Yesterday (Sunday) I went out on “Stormy” (electric wheelchair)down to the junction to the village, 2 miile round trip, (before 7.30 am) as I am taking a lot of photos of clouds to use as backgrounds, when I get my Website up and running. (Don’t want the “boring standard” plain backgrounds!!), when I came back my nephew wanted to come with me on His bike, SO OFF I GO AGAIN all before 9.00am.
On return we got ready for a “SPIN” in the car, We went to the “Health and Wellbeing” show @ Carmarthen Showground, it was very good as we didn’t leave until 4.30pm.
I met a lot of people who I haven’t seen since my schooldays (1983) some where just there for the day, but some had “stalls” (showing “how much they have done since leaving school or not having ME around, LOLOLOL)
Plenty of stands promoting a healthy lifestyle, with all the catering and refreshments being organic (with variations for every dietary need). Outside there was games and amusements for the children. My nephew had a couple of goes at the archery demonstration (as well as everything else). Inside, the building, I had my Blood pressure and blood sugar checked, then I went on to have a “neck and shoulder” massage, from a very local person who comes to your house (at your convenience) very good and relaxing, so good I might have them come to the house !!!!!!!!!!
Today, I have been out doing a bit of gardening (just cutting everything, down to ground level!!!) and writing this!!
