normal (ish) Weekend
A fairly, busy, weekend.
Went to Theatr Mwldan, cinema (Cardigan), picked up Jason, on the way.
Went to see, SURFS UP, an OK film, a bit slow?? (A kids film)
After, we had lunch, in Caffi Mldan (Lovely homemade food), we went to buy another paddle, for me and my Kayaking Adventures!!, from Heritage Canoes (new Shop). While there, I asked about their trips/excursions on the river Teifi, (with the view of getting some expert advice/lessons, in Kayaking.
I went to watch Crymych Triathlon, early Sunday am (first racer, start 9.00 am).
It was a very cold and windy, spectator position, but I have some good photographs.
After, I returned, we went up to Tesco Carmarthen and took Jason home, on the way back.
Before, my, swim, today, I have emails, to compose and send, photos to download, and rename organise, other "webby" things to sort out!!
DON’T FORGET, TO REVISIT www.llanboidy.com , or even “book mark” it !!!

I also, renewed, my , Theatr Mwldan Film Society, Membership card, which is valid for 12 months. More (and accurately) on the Theatr Mwldan website
Its, raining, this morning (Wednesday), so I will, have chance to catch up with, a lot of computer related, things, especially for www.llanboidy.com

Time is hard to extend-- so a few short BLOGS
Some “Retail Therapy”, was in the diary, for Saturday.
A trip, to Fforestfach, Swansea.
When, we had finished, we went, via Llanelli, to Amroth.
As, it had been, so warm and sunny, in Swansea, we thought that we would go out in the Kayak, But, the closer, we got, to Amroth, the “cloudier and cooler” it became. The wind had also “picked” up, so the sea was very “choppy”. We decided, to not go in. Instead we went to, have a cup of tea and a cake.
Sunday “lunch”, was taken, at the LAMB Inn, Llanboidy.
EXCELLENT, Homemade Food.
Afterwards, a “Sunday Drive” was made, along the coast.
Abercastle (where we saw a neighbour, who lives, opposite us!!)
Fishgaurd (where we stopped for tea and cakes)
Up to Newport beach (where we met, a friend, Dawn works with, at the chocolate farm) she was out with her “sit-on-top” Kayak, she told us “it was cold, when you come out the sea”. The sea, was fairly rough (but a few, were “braving it”) The wind had “got up” and the tide was coming in “FAST”, so another “no-show”, return home.
Still, haven’t had time to submit, items to www.llanboidy.com
Will “have to get my act together”.
A relaxing, swim, was enjoyed, on Monday.

While I was in Carmarthen, yesterday, I went in to a "Surf Cothing" shop, to find some wet-suit shorts. When I asked the assitant, he said "we dont have any" so I turned to go out. On the way out, I saw "a shelf, full of them!!, I turned , to the assistant, who was watching me? and I said "theres some here!, their reply "Oh, there SOLD and anyway they wouldnt be any good for you non- walkers, me a STARE of DISGUST with I only want them to go Sea Kayaking every weekend and left !! which brings me to my post on BBC Ouch (Disability site) http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbouch/F2322273?thread=4427899
read it and reflect on some of the attitudes / conversations you have !!!

PLENTY to Do----- New BUTTON ??
To finsish that, day off, I went to Amroth with the Kayak.
Friday, usual, computer class, at Coleshill, Llanelli.
A “Food and River” Festival, was visited on Saturday. Drove down (took ages!!) parked in the disabled car park (that was used, for the day- a small 6 car yard?) looked around the many stalls, very busy, lots of people.
I went over to the official opening of Heritage Canoes new shop, on the bridge in Cardigan. Its very nice, with a small coffee shop, plenty of canoe`s on show, accessories and (water sports) clothes. For the day, they had a “live” band (in a “tipee”) burger stall, and other (water, based) attractions, try canoeing “taster”. From their I went to Theatr Mwldan, for a cup of Tea.
We went to the recycle station (Whitland), on Sunday, to make some room, in the garage and house.
Then went to a car boot sale in Carmarthen., and down to Laugharne for a picnic.
My relatives, who live in Arbroath, Scotland, went to see Geoff Holt www.personaleverest.com arrive in the Harbour, plus they went to see him depart (next day) but he went earlier than expected. I am very grateful, for them doing this, for them (and me) and Geoff was very pleased with the support.
THANK YOU EVELYN and EUROF (Mike?)
While they were doing this, I was going to my , weekly, swimming lesson.
And took Kayak to Coppet Hall, Saundersfoot . Car Park was £1.50 !! and as we parked the car, the attendant, shut the cabin for the day !!! ( if we had been 2 mins. Later it would be “FREE”!!!!.
I was "shocked"/ didnt realise, Coppet Hall and Saundersfoot was so CLOSE to each other !!!
Next day Gym.
Thursday, tricycle 8 miles (7.30 am)
Mow lawn, tricycle 3 miles (pm)
Burn trash, in garden incinerator
A trip to County Hall, Carmarthen (in the “Chamber”) (mix with the “suits”!!!)
Up to the Hospital, for a Speech therapy check !!.
Today, Friday, Coleshill, had its Broadband, internet connection, turned “LIVE” Clients were (quickly) there to use it (guess who was the target, to whom they asked- what to do)
When using it (myself) I found out that Llanboidy website, has included a button “Alans Adventures, (I knew this was to happen) I now have to get my act together and submit something ! (que- more hours in the day!!)
The Builder (who is coming to rectify the Grant work) came to visit, and explain what was what, just to finalise a few things, before he notifies me of a start date, then we will have to move out for a while ( not so long as the first time !!!).
Don’t forget Alans Adventures on www.llanboidy.com

Tricycle
So much “GADDING” about, I need to write it down, or I forget !!
My early “tricycle” ride, is getting, longer, every day.
8.7 miles (Tuesday 6.30 am) before going to the GYM !!. I have jjoined the membership, of the GYM (£10.50 per month, for as much Gym and swimming as you like (during off peak time( 7am-4pm).
We took, Jason, with us to see, The Simpsons Movie, at Theatr Mwldan, Cardigan, before, we came back, loaded the car, with the “KAYAKING” kit,, and went to Amroth Beach. The sea was very calm, the tide was on its way in, hardly any breeze. Spent “a good few hours” on the sea.
Wednesday the first of August, where is this year going (WHAT ABOUT THE SUMMER ???).
11.4 miles (7.00am)
down to the village, on “Stormie” get the paper and visit the builder, who is going to “redo” the work, we had “shoddily” done on an Adaption Grant (by a different builder).
We , went to Amroth, with the KAYAK, but decided not to go out, as it got a bit windy plus it was getting a bit late, so we went to see Wisemans Bridge (a NO GO, for launching the Kayak) and over to Coppet Hall, which I thought was just a name for the café/hotel, turns out a large car park and (very sheltered) beach. Top of the beach is pebbles, with sand in to the sea. A small walkway, from the car park (at one end) only thing the car park surface is very dirty sand/dirt, which will “stick” to the wet Kayak, so will have to pack it away before getting to the car !!. Another thing for me to think of, is crossing the (few yards) of pebbles, “wobbly”walking, with a stick and carrying the (light) Kayak. But its sheltered position appeals to me.
This morning 6.45am, on my tricycle, it started to rain ?? (but not enough to get wet, seemed to be drying as fast as it was falling) 7.81 miles later, it was very warm, but very cloudy, while typing this (midday(out in the garden) it is very hot, but windy. So much “GADDING” about, I need to write it down, or I forget !!
